Former 'Home Improvement' Star Zachery Ty Bryan Sentenced to Over a Year in Jail for DUI
The former star of 'Home Improvement' is headed to jail for 16 months after pleading guilty to DUI and an enhancement for driving with a BAC of 0.15% or higher, nearly double the legal limit. This comes after a 2024 arrest and a plea deal with prosecutors.
Bryan's legal troubles are not new. He has two prior DUI convictions, and if he receives a fourth, the penalties will become even harsher. The judge denied probation and sentenced him to 16 months in county jail, with credit for 57 days served. Once he completes this sentence, Bryan will face out-of-county warrants.
This is not the first time Bryan has been arrested for DUI. In 2024, he was booked by La Quinta Police for driving under the influence with three or more priors and a misdemeanor contempt of court charge. These recent legal issues add to a growing list of troubles for the actor.
Despite the severity of the sentence, it is important to remember that everyone is entitled to a fair trial and the opportunity to make amends. However, this case highlights the serious consequences of DUI and the importance of responsible behavior on the road.
