Hold on, before the rumors spiral! Sophie Cunningham, the WNBA star, is setting the record straight. It's not what you think!
During a recent episode of her podcast, 'Show Me Something,' Sophie decided to address the elephant in the room – or rather, on her lip. Turns out, it's not herpes, as some might have speculated. Instead, it's a cold sore, courtesy of a shared ChapStick at her basketball showcase, the Sophie Cunningham Classic.
Sophie, known for her candidness, playfully joked about the situation, saying, "I used someone's ChapStick and I got a herpe. I have herpes." But, to be clear, she does not have herpes.
And this isn't the only drama. Sophie also confessed to showing up at the podcast with toothpaste stains on her hoodie. Her co-host, West Wilson, playfully called her out, to which Sophie explained that the stains were from spitting out toothpaste.
But here's where it gets interesting...
Besides the lip and hoodie revelations, Sophie also dropped a fun fact: she once direct-messaged (DM'd) competitive eating legend Joey Chestnut! Apparently, she was so starstruck that she DM'd him, telling him he was her childhood hero. She even admitted she considered entering a food-eating competition because of him!
