The Mahindra XUV700 Facelift: A Tech-Forward SUV Makeover
Mahindra Auto is gearing up to unveil a significant upgrade to its XUV700 model, set to revolutionize the mid-size SUV market. The 2021 launch of the XUV700 set a new standard for tech-forward vehicles, challenging rival brands to innovate and compete. Fast forward to 2025, and the facelifted XUV700 is nearing its final production stage, with exciting new features and a potential name change to XUV7XO.
A Tech-Forward Interior Makeover
Recent spy shots by automotive enthusiast Gokul Nath offer a closer look at the XUV700 facelift's interior, revealing a host of improvements. The centerpiece is a new two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Mahindra Twin Peaks logo, wrapped in a dual-tone Brown and Black leatherette. This design choice adds a touch of luxury to the cabin.
The dashboard follows suit, featuring a Brown leatherette finish with a soft-touch feel, enhancing the overall ambiance. While the outer AC vents remain, the facelift introduces new central AC vents with chrome highlights, adding a premium touch. Other notable upgrades include an auto-dimming IRVM and premium Harman Kardon speakers, elevating the in-car experience.
Triple Screen Layout: A Game-Changer
One of the most anticipated features is the triple screen layout, reminiscent of the XEV 9e. This innovative setup consists of three 12.3-inch screens: one for infotainment, one for instrumentation, and a third dedicated to co-driver entertainment. Additionally, the XUV700 facelift offers a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) system for rear entertainment, providing flexibility and customization.
Exterior Refresh: A Premium Look
The exterior of the XUV700 facelift undergoes a refreshing makeover, exuding a more premium vibe. It boasts a new grille, twin-barrel projector LED headlights, revised LED DRLs, and an updated tail light signature. The SUV may also feature multiple fog lights with a cornering function, adding to its dynamic appearance.
Carrying Over the Best
Several existing features will be retained, ensuring a familiar and well-loved experience for current XUV700 owners. These include Level-2 ADAS, all-four disc brakes, a 360-degree camera, and other essential elements. There's even speculation about the addition of a HUD (Head-Up Display) to further enhance the driver's experience.
Interior Comfort and Convenience
The interior comfort and convenience features are set to impress. Expect a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, powered front seats with driver's memory settings, multi-zone climate control, wireless smartphone integration, and a three-row seating configuration. These features will ensure a comfortable and connected journey for all passengers.
Powertrain Retention: A Familiar Powerhouse
The powertrain options remain unchanged, featuring a 2.0L Turbo Petrol engine and a 2.2L Turbo Diesel engine, both paired with either a 6MT or 6TC gearbox. This familiar setup ensures that the XUV700 facelift retains its powerful performance and efficiency, appealing to a wide range of drivers.
